Why this is more than a normal speed test

A normal speed test tells you how fast your internet connection is now. Secure-VPN uses that measurement as the starting point and estimates what happens after the VPN tunnel is added, with different providers, protocols and destinations evaluated separately.

Why the result is a range

VPN speed is not fixed. Routing, server load and network conditions change. For that reason Secure-VPN uses historical retention distributions and presents an expected range together with sample count and confidence instead of pretending one exact number is guaranteed.
